Samantha Davis is a watercolor artist and theologian based in Seattle Washington. As an artist, Samantha currently works in abstract watercolor and altered text. She is a self-taught painter whose professional arts training is primarily in pottery and sculpture. The influence of these three-dimensional mediums is evident in her current work. The depth achieved by the light refracting nature of watercolor pigments suspended over bright paper and the tactility of her altered books all echo the geometric nature of her training in three-dimensional forms.

Samantha holds a B.A. in Religion and the Arts from Belmont University and an M.A. in Theology and Culture: Theology, Imagination & the Arts from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology.
